Mountain Views and Cider Brews At Wisp Resort

DAY 1

Our exciting day begins with an important short stop to ensure everyone is ready for the road ahead. Following this, we head directly to Wisp Resort, where we will enjoy a relaxing and energizing lunch to prepare for the afternoon's adventures. Following our meal, the group will embark on a breathtaking Scenic Chairlift Ride, ascending to the mountain summit. From the top, you will be treated to expansive, picture-perfect views of Deep Creek Lake and the stunning landscapes that characterize the area. After descending, the tour continues with a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the resort's operational technology. We will tour the Pumphouse for the Science of Snowmaking, learning how winter is engineered, before shifting gears to explore the thrill of summer at the Whitewater Rafting Center. Moving into the late afternoon, we will make a quick, convenient stop for a restroom break at the Deep Creek Lake Visitor Center. The grand finale of our tour awaits at Branch Bender Cidery, where we will be welcomed for a guided experience of the farm and cidery. This visit offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about the cider-making process, culminating in a delightful tasting session featuring their handcrafted ciders expertly paired with fresh, local goat cheese. From the Cidery, we will then depart. Our journey home will include a final, convenient stop for dinner at a fast food location, allowing everyone to grab a bite at their own expense before we conclude our memorable day of mountain views, technical insight, and delicious local flavor.
