Day 1
Your day begins with a brief coffee stop enroute to nation's capital, Washington, D.C. Upon arrival in D.C., you will meet up with your knowledgeable local guide to enrich your 2-hour walking tour with historic context and local stories. Together, you will embark on a scenic stroll along the iconic Tidal Basin - where, pending nature's timing, stunning pink and white cherry blossoms frame the water. As time and local traffic conditions permit, your guide will lead you through several of the area's most revered monuments. Stops along the route may include the expansive Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial to explore its grand outdoor rooms and cascading waterfalls, the powerful Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial to view the Stone of Hope along the waterfront, and the neoclassical Thomas Jefferson Memorial, offering striking views of its iconic dome framed by the spring landscape.
After saying farewell to your local guide, your group will leave the city behind and travel out into the Virginia countryside to Breaux Vineyards. Upon arrival, everyone will sit down to enjoy a late lunch, followed by an informative tour of the estate and a guided wine tasting. Afterward, enjoy free time to relax, wander the beautiful grounds, and admire the vineyard's own cherry blossom trees.
At the conclusion of your memorable springtime visit you depart for home making a fast-food stop at your expense along the way.
