DAY 1
Flashback to the Roaring 20's and celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the "Great Gatsby" with a trip to the "Motor City" Detroit, Michigan. Following appropriate meal stop and rest stops at your expense along the way, you arrive in Sandusky, Ohio for an overnight stay at the Best Western Plus Sandusky Hotel & Suites (419-627-9595). The hotel features a fitness center and business center with complimentary wireless internet access. In-room amenities include a microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer and complimentary wireless internet access. Dinner is included tonight with the remainder of the evening to relax and unwind.
DDAY 2
Wake to a deluxe continental breakfast included at the hotel before you check out and depart for Michigan. Lunch is on your own and at your expense during your travel time. This afternoon, admission is included to visit Fair Lane Estate Grounds & Gardens, home of Henry Ford the founder of Ford Motor Company and his wife Clara. The mission of Fair Lane is to highlight the lives and legacy of Henry and Clara for visitors through the preservation and re-imagination of their beloved estate. Following your self-guided exploration, you arrive in Southfield, MI to check-in at the Radisson Hotel-Southfield Detroit (248-469-4867) for a three-night stay. Hotel amenities include a fitness center, business center with complimentary Wi-Fi and onsite cocktail lounge. Guest rooms feature coffee maker, hairdryer and complimentary Wi-Fi. After a brief time to freshen up, you board the coach and depart for an evening at Detroit's Masonic Temple. Construction of the world's largest Masonic Temple began in 1920 and was completed in 1926. Enjoy a tour of the building as well as a private dinner. At the conclusion of the night, you return to the hotel.
B, DDAY 3
Your morning starts with breakfast included at the hotel. You then board the motorcoach and depart for a tour of the Ford Rouge Factory. The tour is a five-part adventure where visitors can see how cutting-edge environmental practices and industrial innovation mesh to create one of the world's most enlightening and forward-looking factories. See where Ford F-150 trucks are assembled in a lean and flexible manufacturing plant. Walk through the Legacy Gallery and Electric Vehicle Display, learn about the history of the Ford Motor Company in the Legacy Theatre and go up to the observation deck for sweeping views of the historic Rouge Complex and one of the world's largest living roofs. Then, experience the stories behind the most significant artifacts in the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. Step inside the bus where Rosa Parks took a stand by taking a seat. Play pilot as you explore flight innovations, starting with the Wright brothers' achievements, or make yourself at home inside Buckminster Fuller's circular Dymaxion House. This afternoon, in the heart of Detroit, you can still find those older models - B, C, F, K, N, R, S and even T, neatly organized in the Ford's first ever purpose-built factory, the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant. As the birthplace of the Ford Model T car, the Piquette Plant is recognized as one of the most significant automotive heritage sites in the world. Enjoy a tour of the facility and bring your camera for a special photo opportunity. Afterwards, you return to the hotel to freshen up for your special evening event - the exclusive Great Gatsby Speakeasy at the Packard Proving Grounds. Feel free to dress in Roaring 20's attire to immerse yourself in theme of the night. During your special experience, you can tour the Packard Proving Grounds to witness historic automobiles and memorabilia, dinner is included with Roaring 20's entertainment and enjoy a special cocktail with souvenir glass to take with you to commemorate the event. You then return to the hotel for the night.
B, DDAY 4
Start your morning with a deluxe continental breakfast at the hotel before you board the motorcoach and depart for the Stahls Museum and Music Experience which houses more than 80 cars on display ranging from the 1886 Daimler prototype to the muscle cars of the 1960's with special emphasis of the great cars of the 1930's and 1940's. Also, hear and see numerous restored and operational automated musical instruments dating from the early 20th century, see vintage signs and a full-size diorama of a Big Boy Restaurant where you can sit in a booth or at a counter, and listen to jukeboxes playing your favorite hits. Next, you are off to the lakeside home of Edsel and Eleanor Ford, the only son of Henry & Clara Ford, for a guided tour. The Fords' carefully designed and curated home located on the shores of Lake St. Clair reveals their deep admiration of art and design, from architecture and landscape to their impressive personal collection of art and antiques. The estate was where the couple raised their children and is a National Historic Landmark. Your day continues with a visit to Greenfield Village which is organized into seven historic districts to explore including real working farms, a glass blowing shop, a pottery shop and more. Your visit includes the "Transportation Pass" to ride a horse-drawn carriage, Model T car or train ride around the village. You then return to the hotel to freshen up before traveling to Meadow Brook Hall for an exclusive, private event. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the home built between 1926-1929 by heiress to the Dodge automaker fortune, Matilda Dodge Wilson and her second husband, lumber baron, Alfred Wilson. A National Historic Landmark, Meadow Brook Hall represents one of the finest examples of Tudor-revival stye architecture in America and is especially renowned for its superb craftsmanship, remarkable grounds and grand scale. Enjoy dinner included at the estate before you depart for the hotel with memories of grand surroundings.

Enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast before you pack up and bid farewell to Michigan with wonderful memories of grand estates, fascinating automotive history and celebrating the anniversary of an American Classic - The Great Gatsby. Appropriate meal and rest stops at your expense will be made on the way home.
