DAY 1
Join the Pack for a trip to the "Live Entertainment Capital", Branson, Missouri, for a sensational line-up of performances including the Branson Music Fest that brings together multiple musicians and entertainers to perform and celebrate their love of music, and witness spectacular scenery from the Lost Canyon & Cave Trail at Top of the Rock and Dogwood Canyon Nature Preserve. Following meal and rest stops along the way, your first day's travel takes you as far as Indianapolis, Indiana for an overnight stay at the Drury Inn & Suites Indianapolis (317-849-8900). The hotel features an indoor/outdoor pool & whirlpool, 24-hour fitness center, guest laundry and 24-hour business center. In-room amenities include a mini refrigerator, microwave, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, flat screen TV and complimentary high-speed wireless internet. Dinner is on your own with the remainder of the night to relax and unwind after a long day of travel.
DAY 2
Breakfast is included at the hotel prior to check-out and departure for Branson. Lunch is on your own during your travels. Upon arrival in Branson, you check-in at the Grand Country Resort (417-335-3535) for the next 4 nights. The resort is in the heart of the entertainment district and is a destination itself with an indoor/outdoor water park, arcade, laser tag, 3 miniature golf courses, 4 dining experiences, shopping and live shows at the Grand Country Music Hall (some attractions may require additional fees). The hotel's standard rooms feature a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer and iron/ironing board. You will have a brief time to freshen up prior to dinner included at the Grand Country Buffet. Enjoy the home-style food like grandma used to make at this on-site buffet restaurant. After dinner, you do not have to go far for a spectacular, award-winning show, the Grand Jubilee Evening Show, because it is held right at the resort in the Grand Country Music Hall. Not only does this show feature the tight harmonies and dynamic performance of Branson's BEST Quartet, New South, it incorporates spectacular Top 40 Country & Gospel classics along with Rock 'n Roll hits from the 70's, 80's and 90's by talented musicians, as well as family-friendly comedy and Ozarks hospitality. At the conclusion of the performance, you can return to your rooms or enjoy the resort amenities before turning in.
B, DDAY 3
Enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet included this morning before you board the motorcoach with your local guide for a narrated tour of Branson including the College of the Ozarks - a.k.a. Hard Work U - and the Scenic Overlook. The college is a Christian based institution founded to offer continuing education to those found worthy but suffering from the means ($) to reach their goal. Instead of paying tuition, all full-time students are expected to work on campus to defray costs in order to graduate debt-free. Branson is not only well-known for its amazing entertainment, but also renowned for its sweeping views and breathtaking natural beauty featuring rolling hills, pristine lakes and verdant landscapes nestled in the arms of the Ozark Mountains. Have your camera ready to capture the beauty of the Ozarks from the Scenic Overlook. Your tour ends in downtown Branson where you have time for lunch on your own. Next, you board the motorcoach and depart for Branson Music Fest featuring a sampling of the best of Branson entertainers together at one venue. Music Fest brings together an amazing line up of multiple musicians and entertainers to perform and celebrate their love of music and provide audiences with performances that will leave a lasting memory for years to come. Relax and enjoy as entertainers one after another hit the stage in this spectacular collection of talented performers. Following the show, you depart for dinner included at a local restaurant. The night is not over yet, the final performance of the day is the Presley's Country Jubilee. A Branson landmark which began in 1967, the Presley family is still entertaining audiences with a mix of country, gospel, bluegrass and comedy. After a busy, entertainment-filled day, you return to the hotel to turn in for the night.
B, DDAY 4
Enjoy a little extra sleep this morning before you board the motorcoach and depart for Brunch at the Chateau on the Lake, a quiet respite from the bustling downtown of Branson. Afterwards, you depart for a refreshing blast from the musical past, the #1 Hits of the 60's touches on over 115 songs from the great artists of the 50's, 60's and 70's. Relive the great soul/pop sound from Motown; the music that stormed across the ocean during the British invasion; and the happy tunes inspired by the sandy beaches of Southern California all in one exciting, high-energy performance featuring more than 100 costume changes, fun video and more. Following the performance, you return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner included at a local restaurant. Your day concludes with one last performance, Clay Cooper's Country Music Express, featuring an incredible cast of dancers, singers and musicians that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. If you are a music lover or just love good entertainment, this is the show for you with a sampling of music styles including country, rock n roll, gospel and even patriotic. After the show, you return to the hotel for the night.
B, DDAY 5
Enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet included this morning before you board the motorcoach and travel to the Dogwood Canyon Nature Preserve. It is run by a non-profit organization and dedicated to preserve and protect the natural environment, its wildlife and plant life, and its beauty for the general public. The first parcels of the property were acquired in 1990 by Johnny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops, to conserve 10,000 acres of Ozark paradise. Included in your visit is a ride on the comfortable, open-air tram to explore the beauty of Dogwood Canyon. Keep your eyes open for some of the native wildlife including deer, elk and longhorns. Inhale the smells of nature and observe the beauty of towering bluffs and waterfalls. Included in your visit is a cook-out style lunch. Afterwards, you depart for Top of the Rock Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail. Admission is included to experience a two-and-a-half-mile trek by electric cart along the Top of the Rock with dramatic features of nature such as stunning rock formations, beautiful views of Table Rock Lake, waterfalls and driving through the remarkable Lost Canyon Cave. This attraction features signature creativity and attention to detail that Bass Pro Shops and Big Cedar Lodge founder Johnny Morris is known for creating. Don't forget your camera!!! In addition, you have admission included to visit the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum at Top of the Rock which brings you face-to-face with prehistoric creatures and astounding collections of Native American artifacts and artwork, as well as galleries showcasing the American West and Civil War. Following your afternoon filled with spectacular scenery, you have dinner included at a local restaurant and topped off by your last show of the trip, The Dutton Family performing bluegrass to classical music and everything in between. The Dutton's are international touring and recording artists who play a variety of instruments including guitar, violin, banjo, keyboard, drums and more, and have garnered awards and recognition in national fiddling contests, classical violin competitions and as studio musicians. At the conclusion of their high-energy performance, you return to the hotel for the night.
B, L, DDAY 6
Following your last breakfast included at the Grand Country Resort, you pack up and hit the road for a return trip to the Drury Inn & Suites Indianapolis (317-849-8900) for an overnight stay. It may look familiar because it is the same property that you stayed at on the first night of your tour. Lunch and dinner are on your own and at your expense today as you make your way to Indianapolis. Tonight, relax and unwind with fellow passengers, enjoy the hotel amenities or kick back and soak in some quiet time in your room reflecting on all the spectacular shows that you saw during your trip.
BDAY 7
Breakfast is included at the hotel before you check out and depart for the last leg of your journey home to Pennsylvania with vivid memories of an entertainment-filled experience that will forever be etched in your minds.
