Macy's Thanksgiving Parade - Staying 2 Nights, NY

Day 1

Travel with Wolf's to New York City on this "Bucket-List Worthy" trip featuring a 3-Day/2 Night stay at the Riu Plaza Times Square. Watch the 99th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person, shop 'til you drop in search of Black Friday bargains, and experience, explore and taste your way around the "Big Apple" on your own. You will make a short fast-food stop at your expense on the way to New York City. Your next stop is New York City where you will arrive at approximately 11:30 a.m. (pending traffic) for lunch on your own and at your expense, as well as free time to explore before check in late afternoon at the Riu Plaza New York Times Square (646-864-1100) for a two-night stay. Guest room amenities include a mini-refrigerator, flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi. The hotel features on-site dining options, a 24-hour fitness room and is centrally located in the Times Square area surrounded by theatres, restaurants and a short walk, taxi ride or subway ride from NYC's numerous attractions. (**PLEASE NOTE: Passengers are responsible to carry their own luggage to and from their hotel room.) Dinner is on your own and at your expense, and the rest of the night is yours to explore the city that never sleeps….with so much to see and do, the possibilities are endless.

Day 2

Breakfast is included at the hotel at your leisure with the remainder of the day to enjoy the city on your own. Get that bucket list out because today is your chance to view the 99th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in person. There is not assigned seating for the parade, so you will want to plan ahead by checking the route and deciding where you want to watch the parade. Witness in amazement as a variety of floats, marching bands, special parade acts and, of course, the giant balloons fill the sky and streets of New York City with heartwarming, holiday joy and merriment. If your plans do not include watching the parade, the Riu is located in the heart of Manhattan and surrounded by places to visit like Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, and Fifth Avenue with their festively decorated store fronts. Lunch and dinner are on your own and at your expense.

Day 3

Once again breakfast is included at the hotel at your leisure. (You will need to check-out of the hotel by 11:00 a.m. or before you set out for the day. The hotel will hold your checked luggage only until you return to board the motorcoach and depart for home.) Today, shop 'til you drop, or at least until it is time to board the motorcoach, in search of Black Friday bargains. New York City is the mecca for shopping, so pull out your holiday gift giving lists and see how much you can accomplish. You may also want to explore and taste your way around the city. Catch a cab or hop the subway to Lower Manhattan to visit the 9/11 Museum & Memorial, the Statue of Liberty or witness a spectacular view from the top of the One World Observatory. Visit one of the many "foodie" neighborhoods to satisfy your taste buds like Hell's Kitchen, Chinatown, Chelsea Market, Little Italy or the pop-up food trucks and get a taste of something different. Lunch and dinner are on your own and at your expense prior to your departure for home. You are asked to return to Hotel Riu by 6:00 p.m. to board the motorcoach and depart for home by 6:30 p.m. You will make a short rest stop before returning to your drop-off location.
