Day 1

Embark on a 9-day unforgettable "Great Lakes Grand Adventure," exploring the timeless beauty and sights of Michigan and Wisconsin. Your journey begins with meal and rest stops at your expense during your first day of travel to Perrysburg, OH for an overnight stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Toledo Perrysburg (419-873-0700). The hotel offers guests a 24-hour business center with complimentary Wi-Fi, modern fitness center, indoor pool, and on-site restaurant. In-room amenities include microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker and accompaniments, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, and complimentary wireless high-speed internet access. Dinner this evening is on your own and at your expense with the remainder of the night to relax or take advantage of the hotel amenities.

Day 2

Enjoy breakfast included at the hotel before you pack up and depart for St. Ignace, MI, that serves as the gateway to the Upper Peninsula where the great waters of Lake Huron and Lake Michigan meet. Here, you board a ferry that transports you to Mackinac Island to enjoy a slower pace of life much like that of the 19th century due to the notable absence of automobiles. Visitors and residents make their way between the quaint cafes, their charming boutique shops, and the magnificent coastline on foot, by way of bicycles, or horse drawn carriage. Upon arrival on Mackinac Island, you check in at the Bicycle Street Inn & Suites (906-847-8005) for a lovely two-night stay. Hotel amenities include a fitness center, business center, on-site restaurant and bar, gift shop and guest laundry. Guest rooms feature a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and television. Dinner is included this evening with the remainder of the night to explore the island at your leisure.

Day 3

This morning breakfast is included at the hotel before you set out on a delightful carriage tour of Mackinac Island. Enjoy history and charm on your narrated carriage tour as you see the Surrey Museum, Arch Rock, Fort Mackinac Avenue of Flags and more. Lunch is included at the legendary Grand Hotel. The Grand has been welcoming guests since 1887, and even today continues to offer its visitors a memorable experience of a bygone era full of old-world hospitality and splendor. Witness stunning views of the Straits of Mackinac that will forever be etched in your mind from the world's longest porch. Following your mouthwatering lunch buffet, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy free time to further explore the island. Dinner is on your own and at your expense this evening with the rest of the night to, once again, enjoy Mackinac Island at your leisure.

Day 4

Once again, breakfast is included at the Inn prior to check-out and departure for the mainland via ferry ride. Your first stop today includes admission to explore the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum where you can delve into the dramatic maritime history of the Great Lakes. The museum complex is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the maritime history of the Great Lakes, focusing on the harrowing stories of shipwrecks, the sailors who braved the waters, and the efforts of the U.S. Life-Saving Service and Coast Guard. Explore the complex featuring the Whitefish Point Light Tower, the Lightkeeper's Quarters, and their most famous artifact on display which is the bronze bell recovered from the wreck of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald that serves as a memorial to the 29 crew members that were lost. Afterwards, lunch is on your own and at your expense while traveling to Munising, Michigan for a boat tour on the crystal-clear blue-green waters of Lake Superior to witness the splendor of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, known for its multicolored Pictured Rocks cliffs and unusual sandstone formations. Be sure to have your cameras ready to capture awe-inspiring photos to share with family and friends. Your journey continues to Wisconsin for check-in at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Marinette (715-504-8100) for an overnight stay. In-room amenities include a coffeemaker, hairdryer and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests are welcome to enjoy the indoor pool, fitness center and stay connected in the business center with complimentary internet access. Dinner this evening is included at a local restaurant followed by return to the hotel to retire for the night.

Day 5

Fuel up with breakfast included at the hotel before you check-out and depart for a tour of Lambeau Field, home of the legendary Green Bay Packers football team. Lambeau field opened in 1957 and holds the distinction of being the longest continually operating NFL stadium. Walk in the footsteps of gridiron giants as you explore the stadium and hear about the history and see the highlights on this 2-hour tour including the Lee Remmel Press Box, visitor's locker room, players tunnel, and more. Following the tour, you will have lunch included before you board the motorcoach and depart for Door County, Wisconsin - the Cape Cod of the Midwest. Upon arrival, you have admission included at the Door County Maritime Museum. Established in 1969, the museum represents an expansive repository of artifacts, photos, oral histories, artworks and other information relating to the deep nautical history of Door County, WI in particular and the Great Lakes region in general. Hard-working anglers, brave ship captains, skilled craftsmen, bold inventors and lonely lighthouse keepers are just some of the personalities you'll discover in the galleries of the museum. Afterwards, you depart for check-in at the Stone Harbor Resort (920-746-0700) for a two-night stay. Hotel amenities include an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna, fitness center and tiki bar. In-room amenities include a coffeemaker, hairdryer and complimentary Wi-Fi. After a brief time to freshen up, you have dinner included at the hotel with the remainder of the night to enjoy the hotel amenities.

Day 6

Breakfast is included at the hotel before you meet with your local guide for an "edu-taining" tour of Door County. It is known as the "Cape Cod of the Midwest" because it shares many of the picturesque, coastal, and charming qualities of its New England namesake, but is situated between the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan. The peninsula is dotted with historic lighthouses and picturesque small towns that your guide will highlight during your tour. Lunch will be included at a local favorite and followed by a visit to an old-time schoolhouse, historic Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, free time in the charming village of Fish Creek, and the day concludes with a spectacular, traditional Door County Fish Boil, a historic and delicious Scandinavian experience! After your day's adventure, you return to the resort to relax and unwind for the night.

Day 7

Enjoy a delightful breakfast included at the resort before you pack-up and depart for a visit to the Farm Wisconsin Discover Center, a state-of-the-art, interactive agricultural education center designed to connect visitors of all ages to the history, science, and modern practices of Wisconsin farming. The center's mission is to provide guests with a better understanding of where their food comes from, the importance of agriculture, and how technology and sustainability shape the industry today. Lunch is included at the farm before you board the motorcoach for your cruise across Lake Michigan on the SS Badger, yes, the motorcoach gets to take the journey as well. The SS Badger is the last coal-fired passenger steamship in operation in the U.S. For more than 70 years, she has provided a fun shortcut across Lake Michigan, and earned the nation's highest historic honor when the Department of Interior officially designated the Badger as a National Historic Landmark. There is plenty to see and do while on the ship including games with the entertainer, browse the gift shop, free movies and satellite tv, or lounge on the spacious outside decks and watch the scenery go by. You will receive a voucher toward dinner while on board the ship. Upon arrival in Ludington, Michigan, you check-in to your host hotel (TBD) for the night.

Day 8

Breakfast is included at the hotel prior to check-out and departure for Kalamazoo where admission is included at the Air Zoo Aerospace and Science Museum, a world-class, Smithsonian-affiliated institution known for its unique blend of history, science, and entertainment with over 100 air and space artifacts, and inspiring interactive exhibits. You can learn all about the history of aviation and space exploration, enjoy indoor amusement park-style rides, watch movies in our Quonset hut-style Missions Theater, pilot a flight simulator, and more. You will receive a voucher toward your lunch while at the museum. Next, you begin your journey toward home with an overnight stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Perrysburg (419-873-0700), which is the same hotel at which you stayed on your first night of the trip. Dinner is on your own tonight with the rest of the night to enjoy the hotel amenities.

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before you check-out and board the motorcoach for return to PA with fabulous memories of your fascinating journey to the Mid-west and back. Meal and rest stop at your expense will be made along the way.
