Our Independence Day celebration begins with a dining experience surrounded by the historic splendor of Mount Hope Estate. Nestled among rolling hills, this picturesque estate provides a serene backdrop to indulge in fresh, locally sourced culinary creations. Guests will savor seasonal dishes made with fresh ingredients straight from regional farms while soaking in the atmosphere of 19th-century charm and character - the perfect setting to raise a glass and kick off a memorable holiday trip.
Next, we step into Elva's Studio for a heartwarming and captivating "Chalk Talk" performance. Set on a scenic 40-acre farm, former Old Order Mennonite artist Elva Hurst shares inspiring stories of faith, freedom, and American heritage while bringing art to life. You will watch a blank canvas transform into a masterpiece right before your eyes, synchronized with music and sound effects, before experiencing a breathtaking finale as special UV lighting illuminate's hidden details in vibrant fluorescent colors. Afterward, there will be time to explore the multi-level gallery and farmstand, featuring handmade crafts, original art, and local souvenirs.
Our journey continues in the heart of Amish country at Riehl's Quilts and Crafts for a blend of traditional craftsmanship and joyful entertainment. Enjoy time to browse thousands of authentic handmade items, including hand-quilted masterpieces, intricate wood crafts, and homemade treats.
Then, take your seat for the featured Ryan & Friends show, where you will enjoy a hilarious, wholesome ventriloquism and comedy performance packed with humor, songs, and colorful characters designed to delight audiences of all ages.
We cap off the holiday aboard America's oldest continuously operating railroad at Strasburg Railroad. Board a historic steam train for a short scenic ride through lush farmland out to Paradise Station, where the ultimate 4th of July evening festival awaits. Upon arrival, you will have time to explore a lineup of local food trucks offering delicious regional specialties and sweet treats, for dinner at your expense.
