DAY 1
Your day begins with a peaceful escape into the breathtaking scenery of central Pennsylvania as you arrive at Lake Raystown. Nestled among tranquil waterfront landscapes, the lake's scenic shorelines provide a true natural haven. Upon arrival, you board the Proud Mary, built as a Mississippi-style paddle wheel riverboat replica. It features a classic stern paddlewheel design, though it functions as a modern diesel-powered vessel used for sightseeing. Enjoy a relaxing 90-minute luncheon cruise with panoramic views along the largest man-made lake east of the Mississippi and learn about the fascinating history of the lake's development. (Comfort Note: The Proud Mary features an open-air design that takes full advantage of fresh lake breezes, offering a comfortable, covered setting without standard indoor AC).
Next, head to the historic Orbisonia Station to step back in time aboard the East Broad Top Railroad. Originally constructed in 1872, the East Broad Top holds the distinction of being America's oldest operating narrow-gauge railroad. Settle into your vintage passenger car for an excursion through rolling farmland, quiet forests, and scenic hillsides along the historic narrow-gauge mainline. (Comfort Note: The vintage train cars feature traditional open-window ventilation - simply slide open your window to enjoy the cool valley air and crisp outdoor views as you ride).
Following your scenic train ride, you reboard your Wolf's motorcoach for your journey home with a short dinner stop at your expense along the way.
