DAY 3

Breakfast is once again included at the hotel. Afterwards, you board the coach and travel to the Cincinnati Museum Center, a one-of-a-kind, multi-museum complex housed in Union Terminal which is an historic Art Deco train station and National Historic Landmark. You will have time to explore the various museums that feature permanent and temporary displays complimented by a collection of more than 1.8 million artifacts, art works and archives. One particular display that draws families' year after year to the center is the Duke Energy Holiday Train display. Since 1946, families have gathered to watch as miniature locomotives and railcars zip around snowbanks and crowded streets. They've poured over the scenes of people dragging home freshly-cut trees, pushing cars up snow-covered hills and crowding the rail station. Track-level views reveal intricate details of the display, where over 300 rail cars and 60 locomotives steam past anxious passengers waiting to board while cars sit with snow to their hubcaps and the perfect trees strapped to their roofs. This holiday train exhibit is one of the largest portable model train layouts, and you have to see it to believe it! Lunch will be on your own and at your expense today. This afternoon, admission is included to the Ark Encounter for a self-guided visit. The largest timber frame structure in the world and an engineering masterpiece, the Ark stands seven stories tall and spans 510 feet long (equivalent to a football field and a half long), 85 feet wide and 51 feet high. Built according to the dimensions given in the Bible, enter Noah's world and tour three decks filled with scores of stunning exhibits that will allow you to experience what his life may have been like while on the Ark. According to the Bible, Noah's Ark was a safe haven for representatives of all kinds of air-breathing land animals and flying creatures. Ark researchers estimate a maximum of around 7,000 animals were on board, and Noah and his family still had sufficient space for food, water and other storage. How did Noah fit all the animals on board? How did Noah care for all the animals? How did Noah build the Ark? These questions and much more about the year-long global Flood may be answered in the mind-blowing and thought-provoking exhibits. Get your camera ready to photograph the life-sized Noah's Ark, the Lake and the gardens illuminated in a stunning sea of rainbow-colored lights in the Ark's presentation of ChristmasTime. Dinner is included while at the Ark. Following your memorable visit to the Ark Encounter, you return to the hotel for the night.
