Boston Pops & Beacon Hill Private Home Tour

DAY 1

Welcome the holidays with a trip to Boston, Massachusetts filled with music, enchantment, and holiday cheer. Following meal and rest stops enroute, you arrive in Boston and check in at the Boston Marriott Copley Place (617-236-5800) for a three-night stay. The hotel features an indoor pool, well-equipped fitness center, an onsite restaurant and lounge. Guest rooms amenities include a mini refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer and iron/ironing board. Dinner tonight is included at an area restaurant.

DAY 2

Start your morning with breakfast included at the hotel before you depart with your local guide for an exclusive Beacon Hill Holiday Walking & Private Homes Tour. Your guide will lead you on a 2-hour WALKING TOUR down the brick sidewalks lined with gas lamps in the upscale Beacon Hill neighborhood that give way to rows of glorious 19th century brick townhouses beautifully decorated inside and out for the holiday season. Take a rare glimpse inside the private residences and learn about the artists, writers, and dignitaries who once lived in the homes, how they have been restored and witness how beautifully decorated they are with the owner's personal touches. (Please Note: Restrooms are very limited on this tour. You will also experience a good bit of walking on brick sidewalks and up steps in the homes. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes for this 2-hour walking tour). Next, you are off to Cheers to roll up your sleeves and enjoy making your own Gingerbread House with candy and frosting, you even get to take it home with you if you don't eat all the decorations first. Following your holiday, make-and-take experience, you have lunch included while at Cheers. Mid-afternoon, you return to the hotel to relax and unwind, or if you want to do a little holiday shopping Copley Place Shopping Mall and Prudential Center Shopping Mall are within walking distance of your hotel. Dinner this evening is included at a local restaurant.

DAY 3

Wake to breakfast included at the hotel before boarding the motorcoach for a unique Stocking-Stuffer Tour of Boston. Receive a holiday stocking to fill with gifts that you collect along the way as you are joyfully educated with narration from your local guide about Boston's historic sites and holiday traditions. You receive a "stocking gift" at each stop... what a fun and spirited way to explore the city. Afterwards, you have time for lunch on your own and at your expense in one of Boston's most visited areas - Quincy Market. You may even be able to cross a present or two off your gift giving list as you stroll through the market area. Mid-afternoon, you return to the hotel to freshen up before departing for dinner at a local restaurant. This evening, prepare to celebrate the splendor of the holiday season as you depart for Symphony Hall for the Boston Pops Christmas Concert. One of the most famous symphony orchestras in the world, the Boston Pops will present what is sure to be the most heartwarming and moving experience featuring some of your Christmas favorites. Following the performance, you return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 4

Once again, breakfast is included at the hotel before you check out, board the motorcoach and bid a fond farewell to Boston with memories of enchanting experiences, the spirit of the season in your hearts and minds, and perhaps a holiday gift or two to delight your friends and/or family. Meal and rest stops at your expense will be made along the way as needed.
