Day 1
Our "Baltimore A-Z" adventure kicks off at 10:00 AM at the beautiful Maryland Zoo, where we'll spend three hours soaking up the wild side of Charm City! Please note that lunch will be on your own at the zoo during this time. We'll make a beeline for the award-winning Penguin Coast exhibit, hoping to catch the exciting Penguin Feeding and narration happening daily, a truly charming experience for all ages to watch the African birds zip through the water. Next, the young and young-at-heart can head to the Farmyard for a relaxing and fun session of Goat Grooming at the Goat Corral, or take a leisurely, scenic trip on the included Jones Falls Zephyr Train Ride through the park, which offers a great rest break for seniors. We'll also be sure to check the daily schedule for Zoo Keeper Chats and Storytime and Nature Play, allowing time for a ride on the classic Carousel before we depart at 1:00 PM! After a quick and comfortable trip, we will arrive at the National Aquarium at 1:30 PM for two hours of underwater wonder. Inside the iconic Inner Harbor building, we'll immediately seek out the interactive Living Seashore touchpools, where kids and adults can gently graze their hands over the sleek skin of Atlantic stingrays and moon jellies. We'll take our time traversing the stunning Blacktip Reef-a vibrant Indo-Pacific exhibit full of colorful characters like sharks and sea turtles-before ascending the ramp to explore the tropical Upland Tropical Rain Forest exhibit at the very top, where we can spot exotic birds and a sloth or two. Finally, we'll dive into the mesmerizing world of the Jellies Invasion gallery, a beautifully lit, low-sensory environment that provides a truly calming and unforgettable close to our aquatic afternoon before we board the bus again at 3:30 PM to wrap up our incredible Baltimore A-Z journey.
