Day 1
Join Wolf's and bring a mind for exploration of spiritual growth as we spend the day exploring places of worship and savoring different ethnic cuisines. Your senses will be tantalized by the smells, colors and sights that are used in each culture's offerings of their worship, prayer, breaking of bread and beyond. After a brief stop in route, we'll arrive in New Jersey at the largest Hindu temple in the U.S. This temple, also known as a mandir, will give you the feel of being transported to another world. The Akshardham spans 185 acres and boasts stunning architecture that will amaze you. After a tour and time on your own, we'll have a true Hindu experience with lunch at the Shayona Café - You may select from various menu options of this all-vegetarian cuisine. After our fresh meal with family and friends we'll depart for the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center located in Philadelphia PA. This traditional Japanese-style house originally built in Japan in 1953, a few years later it was dismantled and shipped to Philadelphia and reconstructed as part of the city's Japanese-American Friendship Festival. Currently designated as a National Historic landmark, this popular attraction for visitors from around the world and highly anticipated, annual Subaru Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival. After our tour we will depart for dinner in "Little Italy." Enjoy the authentic smells, sounds and flavors of meals coaxed out of Italian grandmothers, mothers and aunts through the years. Your homemade and homegrown Italian meal will leave you with an exceptional experience that you aren't sure to forget!
