DAY 3

Enjoy breakfast included before you pack up and depart for Grand Teton National Park. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing today. You will take the inner loop road to Jenny Lake for a pleasant round trip scenic boat shuttle to the other side of Jenny Lake. You can choose to take a short walk to Hidden Falls or just relax and enjoy the scenery. Jenny Lake is one of the most visited areas in Grand Teton National Park. Tucked away at the base of the Teton range, the lake is the centerpiece of the park. Situated near the mouth of Cascade Canyon, Hidden Falls drops roughly 100-feet in a series of steps, thus making it the best waterfall hike in the park. You return on the Jenny Lake Boat Shuttle to board the motorcoach to travel to historic Jackson Lake Lodge which is listed on the National Historic Register and boasts 60-foot floor to ceiling windows that overlook pristine Jackson Lake and the majestic Teton Range. Interesting fact - an agreement between the U.S. and the Soviet governments signed here in 1989 led to the end of the cold war. Lunch is on your own today. There will be some time to enjoy the view, explore the lodge and gather some souvenirs. Afterwards, you continue north and enter Yellowstone National Park, A UNESCO World Historic Site, for sightseeing. The world's first national park is a wonderland of natural beauty and geologic oddities that has delighted and intrigued visitors for over 100 years. It is a mysterious land of steaming geysers, fumaroles, and bubbling mud pots. Today, you visit Old Faithful where you will have time to explore the area and witness an eruption of the world's most famous geyser. Discovered in 1870, Old Faithful was named for its frequent and somewhat predictable eruptions which number more than a million since Yellowstone became the world's first national park in 1872. Enjoy time to also explore more of the geyser basins including Fountain Paint Pots. Although the mud pots are not as picturesque as other hot springs, these turbulent pools of hot, muddy water, and bizarre landscapes are another feature that makes Yellowstone National Park so unique. Your travels continue along the beautiful Madison River enroute to your overnight stay at (TBA). The remainder of the night is free to have dinner on your own and rest up for your next adventure.
