DAY 1
A lunch stop will be made at a fast-food restaurant at your expense enroute to Ocean City, Maryland. You will arrive at the Howard Johnson Plaza (410-289-7251) at approximately 2:00 p.m. Located on the Boardwalk, this hotel features an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and fitness equipment, and onsite restaurant. The oceanview rooms are equipped with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, and iron and ironing board. Beach accessories and bicycle rentals are offered adjacent to the hotel at an additional cost. Dinner is on your own and the remainder of the day is yours to do as you please.
**PLEASE NOTE: You will arrive at the Howard Johnson Plaza at approximately 2:00 p.m. depending upon traffic. Please be aware that your room will not be available until 4:00 p.m. You are welcome to use the hotel amenities, stroll the Boardwalk or hit the beach before check-in. Therefore, we suggest that you pack a carry-on bag with your bathing suit, beach towel, walking shoes, etc. to begin enjoying your getaway to Ocean City. You may return to the lobby area at 4:00 p.m. to obtain your room keys. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
DAY 2
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are on your own and at your leisure today. The day is yours to do as you please and enjoy Sunfest, Ocean City's season ending fall festival. Sunfest features big-top tents brimming with arts and crafts, delicious food options, ethnic and regional entertainment as well as nationally known performers. Fun Fact: Did you know that in 1900 Ocean City's first wooden walkway was constructed. Unlike today, the boardwalk was not a year-round fixture. The boards were actually taken up in the winter and stored until the following spring.
DAY 3
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are on your own once again and at your leisure. The day is yours to do as you please and enjoy Sunfest.
DAY 4
Breakfast is on your own this morning. The hotel's checkout is at 11:00 a.m. You will depart from Ocean City at 1:00 p.m. which allows for you to have lunch on your own before leaving, and is an attempt to avoid heavy traffic delays at that time of the day. A dinner stop at your expense will be made on the way home.
