Smoky Mountain Christmas - 2024

DAY 1

Welcome the holidays with a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains with the Wolf Pack! Sit back and relax as you travel to the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee with meal and rest stops enroute. Upon arrival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee you check in to the Greystone Lodge on the River (865-436-5621) for a four-night stay. Nestled between the Great Smoky Mountains and the Little Pigeon River, the Greystone not only offers glorious outdoor surroundings, it is brimming with character inside as well. The property features a seasonal outdoor heated pool, 24-hour fitness room, a business center with complimentary Wi-Fi, guest coin operated laundry, onsite-convenience shop, as well as restaurants, attractions, and shopping within walking distance. Guest room amenities include a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, flat panel TV, hair dryer and iron/ironing board. Dinner this evening is on your own, with time to relax and unwind at the lodge.

DAY 2

A deluxe continental breakfast is included at the lodge followed by a narrated driving tour of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Enjoy the splendor and beauty of the mountains and keep your eyes peeled for bear, deer, raccoons and any of the many animals and wildlife of the Smokies. Your guide will enlighten you on both the natural and cultural history of the mountains and the people that call it home. After the tour, you will have a free afternoon for lunch on our own and time to explore downtown Gatlinburg. Late afternoon, you depart Gatlinburg for dinner and some feudin' fun at the Hatfield and McCoy Christmas Disaster Dinner Feud Show. Come join Pa Hatfield and Ma McCoy as they try to set aside their differences in the spirit of the Season. Watch as they bring their two famous feudin' families together for a night of food and entertainment guaranteed to make you feel better about spending the holidays with your in-laws! This unique experience includes a delicious meal, singing and dancing, mighty feats of strength, jaw dropping stunts and side-splitting comedy. Next, you take a short drive to the Country Tonite Theatre for the award winning "Country Tonite Christmas Show." The magic of Christmas abounds as the talented renditions of Christmas favorites fills the air and is combined with beautiful choreography, brightly decorated holiday sets and colorful costumes. Following the show, it's back to the hotel to retire for the night.

DAY 3

A deluxe continental breakfast is included at the lodge before you board the motorcoach for Ober Mountain Aerial Tram in Gatlinburg. From downtown Gatlinburg travel 2.1 miles upward to the top of the mountain in an enclosed tram for awe-inspiring, sweeping views, so don't forget your camera to capture photographic memories of your experience. While at Ober Mountain, you have time to browse the shops, walk the grounds and enjoy a BBQ lunch included with a couple games of Bingo to conclude your visit. You then ride the tram back down the mountain to board the motorcoach and depart for Ole Smoky Moonshine for a tour and tasting. Moonshine used to be something that was made in the hills and done so with old stills and illegally, or at least that was a long time ago. Ole Smoky takes that homemade goodness and mixes it with palate-pleasing flavors for people to enjoy. Learn about the process of making moonshine, take part in a sampling and have the chance to purchase different products that Ole Smoky infuses with "the fruits of their labor". Your day concludes with Dolly Parton's Stampede for a hearty dinner followed by a spectacular holiday extravaganza that brings the true meaning of Christmas to life. Watch in delight as the Sugar Plum Fairy brings toys to life, witness the live nativity scene, and a visit from that jolly old elf, Santa, who makes an appearance on a horse-drawn sleigh. Following the show, you depart for the hotel to turn in for the night.

DAY 4

Enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast at your leisure with a morning to enjoy some extra rest at the lodge or free time in downtown Gatlinburg. Early afternoon, board the motorcoach for admission included at the Dollywood Craft and Entertainment Village where the spirit of the season shines brightest during the holidays. Dollywood is decked out in holiday splendor as the skies dance with the glimmer of more than 5 million twinkling lights, Santa's Village and Craftsman's Valley are all a buzz with festive fun and shopping galore, and don't forget the heartwarming and melodious music that fills the air with joy and excitement. Dinner is on your own and at your expense while at Dollywood. You will return to the hotel after your time at Dollywood.

DAY 5

Enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast at the lodge before you check out and board your motorcoach and bid a fond farewell to the Smoky Mountains with memories of a joyous and heartwarming etched in your mind, and maybe even a few gifts marked off your list. Meal and rest stops will be made along the way home.
