Discover the beauty of the Amish farmlands and countryside, feast on an authentic, in-home Amish meal, and see the brought back - production of Noah at Sight & Sound theatre. Upon arrival in Lancaster County, we'll venture the "Roads Less Traveled" through the heart of the Amish Farmlands. See the pristine Amish farms, one-room schoolhouses, windwheels, Amith "phone booths" and farmers working the fields with their horse and mule-drawn plows. Our first stop will be a stop at the Amish Quilt & Craft Shop. Have an opportunity to browse through a colorful array of exquisite handmade quilts and unique country crafts. Then on to a Country Surprise awaits your group - prepare for a unique and truly memorable experience as you are welcomed into an Amish family home, as their guests, for an authentic Amish meal. Enjoy their kind and gracious hospitality as the family serves you a hearty and delicious Penn Dutch feast. A "typical" meal will include two meat entrees, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, vegetables, assorted cold relishes, homemade bread, beverages, and desserts (meal items may vary). The real taste of Amish life does not get any better than this! After enjoying the hospitality of our Amish hosts - we'll head to Sight and Sound theatre for a view into the monumental task that Noah has before him. Faithfully, in the midst of an increasing chaotic world, can he trust that God's promises run deeper than the rising waters around him? Build a boat big enough to save his family, and two of each creature, from a flood that will cover the entire earth. After departure, you will make a short stop on the way home at a fast-food location.
Policy at Sight & Sound Theatre - Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the theater. You are welcome to bring small bags, no larger than 9"x12", diaper bags and any necessary medical items with you. All bags are subject to inspection upon arrival.
