Day 1
Spring is a season of renewal, of growth, and ever-evolving splendor. Travel with Wolf's to Kennett Square, PA for a visit and self-guided experience at Longwood Gardens. A short fast-food stop will be made prior to arrival at Chaddsford Winery. Since 1982, Chaddsford's dedicated winemaking team has produced an evolving portfolio of dry sweet and sparkling wines in order to best appeal to a wide spectrum of personal tastes. Enjoy a tasting of a select few wines included in your visit. If time permits, you may want to purchase a glass of wine to sip and savor before you depart. Also, take time to shop the wine shop and purchase a bottle or two, or even a case, to take home with you. Early afternoon, you will depart Chaddsford Winery for Longwood Gardens. Stroll through a rainbow of colors as spring blooms and the season unfolds on Longwood's 1,077 acres of indoor and outdoor displays from formal gardens to children's gardens, towering fountains and the expansive Meadow. The plant collection first began in 1798 by the Pierce du Pont family and has grown in size to more than 9,000 different plants. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes to walk the grounds. While at Longwood, have lunch/dinner on your own and at your expense. You will continue home after your visit.
