DAY 1
Set out for a day in Pennsylvania Dutch Country with a trip to Lancaster. The day begins with arrival at Shady Maple Smorgasbord, where you will indulge in their legendary smorgasbord. Guests can enjoy a feast of Pennsylvania Dutch favorites, including hearty homemade dishes, fresh salads, soups, grilled specialties, and an extensive selection of delicious desserts. With so many choices available, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Following your meal, take time to explore the Shady Maple Gift Shop, filled with unique gifts, local specialties, Pennsylvania Dutch treats, and souvenirs.
After lunch, board the motorcoach for a short drive to the magnificent Sight & Sound Theatre for the afternoon matinee performance of Jonah. This production brings the classic biblical tale to life on a massive panoramic stage featuring spectacular special effects, immersive sets, live animals, and stunning original music. Follow Jonah's dramatic journey from his storm-tossed escape at sea to the depths of the ocean inside the belly of a giant fish, discovering a powerful message of grace and second chances. The show runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes and includes a 20-minute intermission, giving guests a quick break to stretch and visit the lobby.
At the conclusion of the performance, you depart for home reflecting on an inspiring day of great food, shopping, and world-class theater.
