DAY 1

Delight in the beauty of the winter season with this heartwarming and joyous trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. During your travels, you will make meal and rest stops at your expense enroute to your destination for the day Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Great Barrington Lenox/Berkshires (413-644-3200) in Great Barrington, Massachusetts for a one-night stay. Guest rooms feature a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea maker with supplies, hairdryer and complimentary high-speed internet access. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center and business center with complimentary Wi-Fi. Dinner tonight is included at an area restaurant with the remainder of the night to relax and unwind after a day's travel.

DAY 2

Begin your day with breakfast included at the hotel before you pack up and check out for travel to your day's first stop at Ventfort Hall and Gilded Age Museum. Enjoy a self-guided walk-through of this Jacobean Revival-style mansion built in 1893 for Sarah Morgan, sister of J.P. Morgan. Ventfort Hall is one of the approximately seventy-five so-called "Cottages" built in Lenox when the villages became a popular Gilded Age Resort. Stroll through the beautifully decorated home that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was declared an official project of "Save America's Treasures". Next, you depart for Stockbridge where lunch is included at the historic Red Lion Inn, a quintessential Berkshire hotel on Main Street that has been a landmark of hospitality for more than 250 years. After lunch, you board the motorcoach and travel to Bretton Woods, NH for a delightful, two-night stay at the Omni Mount Washington Resort (603-278-1000). The hotel features year-round heated outdoor and indoor pools, a fitness center, outdoor fire pit, boutique shops and on-site dining options and cocktail lounge. After getting settled in your room, the remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy the hotel amenities and take a self-guided walk-through of this amazing hotel at your leisure. Construction of this hotel was completed in 1902 by 250 Italian craftsmen skilled masonry and woodworking that were brought to Bretton Woods and housed on the grounds. A favorite New England retreat of presidents, poets and celebrities, the hotel engages the senses with enchanting music, refined dining and luxurious décor. Dinner is on your own tonight at your expense and at your leisure.

DAY 3

Wake to breakfast included at the hotel prior to meeting your local guide and boarding the motorcoach for a day of exploring the area. First, it's all aboard the Cog Railway Winter Wonderland Experience. Your roundtrip excursion is powered by an environmentally friend biodiesel locomotives and includes a short layover at Waumbek Station which is at an elevation of 3900 ft. Passengers may leave the train to enjoy complimentary refreshments and witness panoramic vistas on a clear day. At the conclusion of your Cog Railway excursion, you return to the hotel for an included buffet lunch paired with musical accompaniment in the background featuring holiday favorites. After a brief time to freshen up (don't forget to bring warm clothing/jackets/hats/gloves appropriate for an outdoor activity), you board the motorcoach to continue your touring through the White Mountains with a stop at the Bethlehem Post Office. Here is your chance to have your Christmas cards postmarked from "Bethlehem". You then continue on to Rock's Estate for a horse-drawn wagon ride though the Christmas tree fields. While at the Rock's, you will have a little time to browse the Christmas Shop before departing. Dinner is included at a local restaurant before returning to the Omni Mount Washington for the remainder of the night. Upon return, you may rest and relax or enjoy the hotel amenities at your leisure.

DAY 4

Enjoy breakfast included at the hotel before your check out and depart for the Yankee Candle Flagship Store in South Deerfield, MA. It's always Christmas time in the Bavarian Christmas Village and Santa's Toy Factory. Here's your chance to check some things off you holiday gift lists as this "scent'sational store houses nearly 200,000 candles and over 200 fragrances, a General Store featuring old-time favorites, a gift boutique, a kitchen/garden shop and a café for you to have lunch on your own and at your expense. Afterwards, you board the motorcoach enroute to Sturbridge for check-in at the Publick House Historic Inn (508-347-3313) for a one-night stay. Your accommodations combine charming New England décor with modern in-room amenities including a refrigerator, cable television, wireless high-speed internet, hairdryer and iron/ironing board. After a brief time to freshen up, you depart for a stop at the Oakwood Farm Christmas Barn where it is "the most wonderful time of the year" all year long. This 165-year-old barn displays a dazzling collection of Christmas trim, thousands of ornaments, nativities, Santa's, carolers and their own farm creations. After time to browse the shop, you depart for a heartwarming experience including dinner at the historic Salem Cross Inn. Let the Fireplace Feast begin! Relax by the fieldstone fireplace as the crackling fire roasts your dinner. This "jack" is the only known 1700's antique roasting jack that was used to roast fowl and beef in New England that is still in use. Enjoy an evening of light-hearted conversation with fellow passengers and a hearty meal. At the conclusion of your meal, you return to the Inn for the remainder of the night.

DAY 5

Breakfast is included at the Inn before you pack your bags and board the motorcoach bound for home with fond memories of your heartwarming and joyous winter retreat to the glorious White Mountains of New Hampshire. Appropriate meal and rest stops at your expense will be made along the way home.
