DAY 3

Begin your day with breakfast included at the hotel before you meet your local guide and board the motorcoach for a day of touring through the scenic White Mountains. Have your cameras ready for a photo stop at the Jackson Covered Bridge, one of the most photographed in New Hampshire. Your travels continue through "the Notches" past the Grand Mt. Washington Hotel and scenic overlooks on the way to your next stop at the Rocks Estate for a maple sugaring experience. Maple sugaring has been a sweet tradition for centuries in New Hampshire. Today you learn about the time-honored tradition when the trees begin to warm in the spring and the sap begins to flow through the sugar maple trees until it is ready to be collected and turned into sweet maple syrup, sugar and candy. Lunch is on your own following your visit in Littleton. Next, your journey continues through the lush green forest of Franconia Notch State Park for a stunning bird's eye view from the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway. Witness the "Olympics of the Forest" re-enacted just as the lumberjacks and loggers used to compete 100 years ago. You know you are in the right spot when you hear the big crosscut saws singing in the forest much like the sounds radiating from the logging camp competition in the Maine woods. Marvel at the participants as they exhibit amazing skill and strength in the lumberjack sports of wood chopping and sawing, tree climbing, ax throwing and everyone's favorite…log rolling…all exhibited with a modern twist, mixed with history, comedy and audience participation. Following the event, you return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 6

Breakfast is again included at the hotel before you pack up and continue your journey to Penobscot, Maine. Upon arrival you have admission included at the Penobscot Marine Museum, a unique seafaring village with one of the finest collections of maritime paintings in the country. While crackin' shells with your fellow travelers, enjoy sing-along entertainment. You return to the hotel following the experience for the remainder of the night.

B, D

DAY 7

Enjoy breakfast included at the hotel before you check out and begin heading home. However, you will make one last stop at Maine's southernmost lighthouse, the picturesque Nubble Light. One of the most photographed lighthouses, this iconic structure features a charming Victorian lighthouse keeper's house with gingerbread trim and a lantern with miniature cast iron lighthouses on its railing. Interestingly enough, photos of the Nubble Light were chosen by NASA officials for the Voyager Spacecraft that were intended to identify the Earth if the craft fell into extraterrestrial hands. Now, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride as you are transported back home with amazing scenic, educational and entertaining memories of your visit to New England. It's hard not to fall in love with it! You will make meal and rest stops at your expense on the way home.
