DAY 2

Begin your day with breakfast included at the resort before you depart for a day of touring. Your first stop is Woodstock, VT for a photo stop at Quechee Gorge, also known as "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon". Have your cameras ready to capture the view, on a clear day, of the glacier-created gorge and falls from a scenic point. Next, you have a guided tour and bird program at Vermont Institute of Natural Science. The indoor/outdoor facility houses Vermont's magnificent live raptors which may at the time include owls, eagles, hawks and falcons. These avian predators were rescued from nature due to injuries and conditions that prevent them from ever living in the wild again. The permanent residents are featured in exhibits at the nature center and used in public educational presentations, serving as ambassadors for their species. Your admission today includes a birds of prey program featuring some of these ambassadors up close and personal. Afterwards, lunch is included enroute to see the Friesians of Majesty. The Friesians are large black horses with a size equivalent to a Belgian or Clydesdale. During your visit, you will meet their spectacular stallions, Othello & Gerhart, and have the opportunity to interact with their babies in the mare and foal barn. Then, you return to the resort where dinner is included with the rest of the night to enjoy the resort or relax in the comfort of your room.
