Christmas In New York City At The Riu Plaza Hotel

DAY 1

"Tis the season to travel to New York City for holiday fun and festivities, shopping, sightseeing and dining. It's time to take a bite out of the Big Apple with an overnight stay and plenty of time to explore New York City your way. Travel with Wolf's for an overnight stay at Hotel Riu Plaza New York Times Square (646-864-1100). Following a fast-food stop on the way, you will arrive in New York City for some free time to explore mid-town Manhattan and have lunch on your own prior to hotel check-in. Late afternoon, you will check-in to the Hotel Riu which offers guests in-room amenities including a mini-refrigerator, flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi. The hotel features on-site dining options, a 24-hour fitness room and is centrally located in the Times Square area surrounded by theatres, restaurants and a short walk, taxi ride or subway ride from NYC's numerous attractions. The remainder of the night is yours to enjoy as much or as little as you desire, that is the beauty of this trip…you are on your own to explore and what you can't accomplish today, there's always tomorrow. Don't forget to visit the Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree, check out the holiday markets in Bryant Park and Colombus Circle, and witness the beauty and creativity in the decorated department store windows. Christmas is a fabulous time to visit NYC to get into the holiday spirit, and perhaps mark a few presents off your gift giving list. Dinner is on your own and at your expense.

DAY 2

Breakfast is included at the hotel with the remainder of the day to enjoy the City at your leisure. The Riu Plaza is located in the heart of Manhattan and surrounded by iconic sites such as Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, the Broadway District, and don't forget shopping on Fifth Avenue. Catch a cab or hop the subway to Lower Manhattan to visit the 9/11 Museum & Memorial, the Statue of Liberty or witness a spectacular view from the top of the One World Observatory. It's New York City, all this and so much more…the possibilities are endless! Lunch and dinner are on your own and at your expense prior to your departure for home. You are asked to return to Hotel Riu by 6:00 p.m. to board the motorcoach and depart for home by 6:30 p.m. You will make a short rest stop before returning to your drop-off location.
