Cape May Overnight - 3 Day On Your Own

DAY 1

Join Wolf's for a relaxing getaway to Cape May, NJ, a lovely seaside town full of history and charm and a wide sandy beach that welcomes you to bask in the sun and enjoy a lovely ocean breeze. Here is your opportunity to enjoy Cape May your way with plenty of free time to do as you please. You will make a lunch stop at your expense enroute to Cape May. You arrive in Cape May, NJ at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel (609-884-3500) for a two-night stay. The Marquis features an outdoor heated pool (seasonal), on-site seasonal restaurant and pub, and rocking chairs for a relaxing view of the ocean which is right across the street. Wolf's Bus Lines is offering 2 different options for accommodations, and different rates apply for each accommodation type.

Option 1 - Standard Rooms with an ocean view private patio feature 1 king bed or 2 double beds, microwave, mini refrigerator, coffeemaker, hairdryer, flat screen tv and iron/ironing board.

Option 2 - Suites with an ocean view private patio feature 1 king bed or two double beds, kitchenette with microwave, mini refrigerator, coffeemaker, separate living room with sleeper sofa, hairdryer, flat screen tv and iron/ironing board.

The remainder of the day and night are on your own. The Marquis is within walking distance of the quaint Washington Street Mall and local restaurants for you to plan your meals while on your getaway.

**PLEASE NOTE: You will arrive at the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel at approximately 2:00 p.m. depending upon traffic. Please be aware that your room will not be available until 4:00 p.m. Therefore, we suggest that you pack a carry-on bag with your bathing suit, beach towel, walking shoes, etc. to begin enjoying your getaway to Cape May. You may return to the lobby area at 4:00 p.m. to obtain your room keys. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

DAY 2

Rise and shine at your leisure. All meals while in Cape May are on your own and at your own expense. Enjoy a day on your own to sightsee, shop, or relax on the beach. Cape May has wonderful sightseeing options ranging from trolley tours to dolphin and whale watching cruises (additional fees apply). The perfect way to see Cape May is to hop on one of the cherry red trolleys for a guided tour of America's first seaside resort and discover Cape May's Victorian heritage and maritime history. Tickets may be purchased at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth or call 609-884-5404 for more information. You may wish to visit the Cape May Lighthouse on Cape May Point and take a trip to the top for a picturesque view of the surrounding area. If you are unable to negotiate the many steps to the top, the Oil House on the grounds contains a fully accessible Visitors' Orientation Center and Museum shop featuring lovely souvenirs to commemorate your visit (additional fees apply to enter the lighthouse). Tickets may be purchased upon arrival at the lighthouse. If you are interested in taking a relaxing cruise along the shores of Cape May to learn more about the marine mammals that inhabit its waters, an option for you would be to choose the Cape May Whale Watcher. This 110-foot vessel has been offering dolphin and whale watching cruises since 1993 (additional fees apply). For more information or to purchase tickets call 800-786-5445. Finally, if you just want to soak up some rays and frolic in the ocean, simply walk across the street and enjoy the 2.5 miles of sandy beach (Beach Tags are not needed before Memorial Day or after Labor Day). You will need to arrange your own transportation while in Cape May to visit attractions not within walking distance to the hotel.

DAY 3

Once again, wake up at your leisure. Breakfast is on your own this morning and keep in mind that hotel check out is by 11:00 a.m. The remainder of the time is yours to enjoy some last-minute beach time, visit the Washington Street Mall for some souvenirs at their boutique shops or lunch on your own in one of the cafes, or just take a stroll to savor that your last bit of time in Cape May. You will depart Cape May at 1:00 p.m. for home with a dinner stop made along the way at your expense.
