5 Star Christmas With Boston Pops - 2024

DAY 1

Welcome the holidays with a trip to Boston, Massachusetts filled with music, enchantment, and holiday cheer. Following meal and rest stops enroute, you arrive in Boston to check in at the 5-star Encore Boston Harbor Resort Hotel (857-770-7000) for a three-night stay. The Encore offers exceptional accommodations as well as gaming, dining, shopping and more. Experience impeccable service, enchanting ambiance and exciting gaming that all together create a memorable stay at the Encore. The hotel features a state-of-the-art fitness center, spa and salon (Spa and Salon services are not included in your tour package and may also require advanced reservations), a diverse array of dining options and on-site casino. Guest rooms feature a 55" 4K Ultra HDTV, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, wireless, detachable iPad for one-touch access to room controls, guest services and resort information, and high-speed internet access. Each passenger will receive a slot bonus (MUST be 21 or older and present valid photo ID), 1 dinner and 3 breakfast vouchers upon check-in. Use your $20 dinner voucher toward your meal this evening at any participating Encore restaurants (you are responsible to pay the balance of the meal that the voucher does not cover and gratuity is not included). The remainder of the night is yours to try your luck in the casino, unwind with a cocktail in one of the lounges or relax in the comfort of your room.

DAY 2

This morning, use your included $20 breakfast voucher toward your morning meal (passengers are responsible for the balance of the meal and gratuity is not included). Following breakfast, you depart the hotel with your local guide for a unique Stocking-Stuffer Tour of Boston. Receive a holiday stocking to fill with gifts that you collect along the way as you are joyfully educated with narration from your local guide about Boston's historic sites and holiday traditions. You receive a "stocking gift" at each stop... what a fun and spirited way to explore the city. Afterwards, you have time for lunch on your own and at your expense in one of Boston's most visited areas - Quincy Market. You may even be able to cross a present or two off your gift giving list as you stroll through the market area. Mid-afternoon, you return to the hotel to freshen up before departing for an enchanted evening including dinner at Hammond Castle. Situated on the coast of Gloucester, Hammond Castle was constructed in the late 1920s by inventor John Hays Hammond, Jr., known as the Father of Radio Control. The architectural style is a mixture of a medieval castle, a Gothic cathedral and a Renaissance-era French village set amid Roman ruins. It was built as Hammond's residence and laboratory and designed to house his private collection of artifacts from ancient Rome through the Renaissance. Enjoy dinner included and time to explore the castle, as you are able (**This is a real castle having about 15 very wide stone stairs at the entrance. There are narrow passages inside and stairs in many of the hallways and entrances to rooms throughout the castle. It is not handicap accessible). You then return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 3

Begin your morning with breakfast at the Encore using your included $20 breakfast voucher toward your morning meal (passengers are responsible for the balance of the meal and gratuity is not included). Next, you depart with your local guide for a day of touring, starting first with a visit to Trinity Church Boston. A hundred years ago, and again in the late 20th century, the American Association of Architects named the Trinity Church Boston one of the most significant buildings in the country. Located in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, its elaborately carved exterior, its stained-glass windows, colorful mosaics, La Farge wall murals and needle-worked kneelers make it a magnificent site to behold and visit. Trinity Church is not a museum, but rather a sacred place of worship and service. Next, you are off to Cheers to roll up your sleeves and enjoy making your own Gingerbread House with candy and frosting, you even get to take it home with you if you don't eat all the decorations first. Following your holiday, make-and-take experience, you have lunch included while at Cheers. Afterwards, you depart for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum featuring three floors of galleries open to a central courtyard filled with flowering plants. A remarkable achievement by Gardner, she formed the collection, designed the building and opened the Museum to the public in 1903. The spirit of the architecture, the personal character of the art arrangements and the color and fragrance of the courtyard all create an atmosphere that delights the senses and sparks the imagination. Following your visit, prepare to celebrate the splendor of the holiday season as you depart for Symphony Hall for the Boston Pops Christmas Concert. One of the most famous symphony orchestras in the world, the Boston Pops will present what is sure to be the most heartwarming and moving experience featuring some of your Christmas favorites. With the joyful sounds of the Pops in your mind and the spirit of the season in your heart, you depart for dinner included at a local restaurant and followed by return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 4

Once again, enjoy breakfast at the Encore with your included $20 breakfast voucher toward your morning meal (passengers are responsible for the balance of the meal and gratuity is not included). Then, bid a fond farewell to Boston as you check-out and depart for home with memories of enchanting experiences, the spirit of the season in your hearts and minds, and perhaps a holiday gift or two to delight your friends and/or family. Meal and rest stops at your expense will be made along the way as needed.
