Myrtle Beach The Great Grand Strand

DAY 1

Let Wolf's whisk you away to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for some sand and surf, history and natural beauty, spectacular shows and fabulous food, and the options to do as much or as little as you would like. Appropriate meal and rest stops will be made during your travels. Upon arrival in Myrtle Beach, you check in at the Beach Cove Resort (843-286-5690) for the next four nights. Resort amenities include an indoor pool and whirlpool, one outdoor pool heated year-round, a fitness center, racquetball court, on-site dining options and a cocktail lounge, a business center, coin operated laundry, and complimentary Wi-Fi internet access. Guest room features include a living room with sleeper couch, table and chairs, private balcony, fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator, basic utensil and dishes, coffee maker, cable television, DVD player, hair dryer and iron/ironing board. The rest of the night is yours to relax and unwind after a long day's travel.

DAY 2

Breakfast is included at the hotel with the opportunity to enjoy a day of sun and surf, OR an optional tour of the Myrtle Beach area followed by free time on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. For those choosing to explore Myrtle Beach and its surrounding area, you depart the resort with a local guide and discover the history and tales of Myrtle and the Grand Strand. Hear the stories of the early settlers to the earliest beach goers. Along the way, you make a few stops and have time for lunch on your own and souvenir shopping at the Boardwalk area. Early afternoon, you return to the resort to gather those who had opted to remain at the resort and travel to Broadway at the Beach for an included dinner followed by a tribute to some of music's most famous performers in Legends in Concert. These tribute artists pay homage to their iconic music counterpart dressed in magnificent costumes and perform amid elaborate sets with a full array of incredible special effects and state-of-the-art lighting. The live orchestra adds to the stunning appeal of this amazing performance. Following the show, you will return to the resort for the night.

DAY 3

Wake up to breakfast included at the hotel. The first part of your day can be spent on the beach or pool side if you so choose, OR you may choose an optional Eco Saltwater Marsh Cruise in Murrells Inlet* (Note: This is an optional tour and an additional fee of $34 per person applies and must be booked and paid in full at least 30 days in advance of tour's departure.) Enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise through Murrells Inlet and its beautiful saltwater marsh estuary taking in the sights and sounds on the tranquil waters while bird watching and observing the underwater sea life with a naturalist. Participate in a live demonstration that includes pulling a sample dredge from the bottom of the creek and putting in a touch tank for all to observe. You also visit Garden City Point for a chance to get off the boat and collect shells and treasures that the crew will help identify. Following the cruise, you depart for free time to have lunch on your own and browse the shops in Murrells Inlet. Upon return to the resort, enjoy a bit of down time before you gather those who opted to remain for a beach day and travel to a local restaurant for dinner. The evening concludes with a show (TBA) at Alabama Theatre. You then return to the hotel following the show.

DAY 4

Enjoy a morning and afternoon of leisure and do as you please. Breakfast is included at the hotel. Relax on the beach or poolside, float in the resort's lazy river or even catch up on some reading with a view of the ocean from your private balcony, enjoy some much-needed time on your own. You will have the opportunity to visit Barefoot Landing for some time on your own. Enjoy the atmosphere of a quaint southern village complete with shops and unique restaurants. Your tour escort will arrange shuttle times to and from Barefoot Landing while on your trip. Late afternoon, you will board the motorcoach for dinner included at Benjamin's Calabash, home of fresh local seafood daily. The award-winning buffet is famous for introducing the Myrtle Beach area to cooking seafood Calabash-style, which is lightly battered and deep-fried. The night concludes with entertainment at the Carolina Opry. This award-winning variety show features the best of high-energy music, comedy and dance with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and special effects. It spans all musical types to bring you the best hits of yesterday, today and everything in between. Afterwards, you return to the resort for the night.

DAY 5

Enjoy breakfast included at the hotel before departing for home. On our return trip home, we will make meal and rest stops along the way.
