DAY 2

Breakfast is included at the hotel before you check-out and depart for a guided tour of the Silas M. Clark House and the Indiana County Historical Society. Built in 1869, this Victorian mansion was once home to Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Silas M. Clark and was lovingly restored by the Historical Society of Indiana County. In addition, you will visit the museum next door to view exhibits relating to local coal mining, Civil War, WWII and Native American History. Afterwards, you visit the Mytrysak's Family Tree Farm and Greenhouse. During your visit, you take a leisurely wagon ride around the property, as well as enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while browsing the Christmas Shop. Finally, have you ever wanted to meet that famous groundhog that draws tens of thousands of spectators to Punxsutawney annually to catch a glimpse of whether or not he sees his shadow? Well, here's your chance, since 1887 Gobbler's Knob has been in the spotlight on February 2nd to see if Phil will predict an early spring or six more weeks of winter. While at Gobbler's Knob you will walk the grounds, learn more about the tradition and lore of Groundhog Day as well as have a boxed lunch included. You will make a brief stop in downtown Punxsutawney to view the whimsically decorated 6-foot-tall Phil statue and browse the souvenir shop. You then depart for home with a meal stop enroute.
