Our travels today take us to Erie, PA. After meal and rest stops en route, we will arrive in Erie late afternoon for check in at the Hampton Inn Erie-South (814-866-6800) for a three night stay. The hotel offers an indoor heated pool, fitness center, coin operated guest laundry and complimentary high speed internet access. Guest room amenities include a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, LCD HD TV and iron/ironing board. Dinner this evening will be included at Smugglers Wharf. Passengers are asked to choose from one of the following entrees: Great Lakes Erie Yellow Perch (hand-battered filet in a tempura beer batter and fried), Bourbon Pecan Chicken Breast (coated in pecan breading then topped with bourbon sauce), or Top Sirloin. *If you have not made your selection yet, please contact Wolf's Bus Lines at least one month prior to the trip's departure to report your choice. At the conclusion of the meal, we will return to the hotel for the night.

Wake up to a hot breakfast included at the hotel before we enjoy a guided driving tour of Presque Isle. Our guide will educate and entertain us with information about significance of the Presque Isle Bay's deep harbor that makes Erie an important Great Lakes shipping port. Also, a National Natural Landmark, Presque Isle's unique habitats attract a greater number of the states endangered, threatened and rare species more so than any other area of comparable size in PA, and is a favorite spot of migrating birds. Next, we will have admission included to the Tom Ridge Environmental Center that not only serves as a visitor's gateway to the Park and the Great Lakes region, it also houses exhibits and displays describing the ecosystem of Presque Isle, educational facilities, research laboratories and has a 75 foot glass tower (with elevator and stair access) with sweeping views of the surrounding area. While here, please have lunch on your own in the café before departing. Afterwards, we will board the motorcoach and travel to Mazza Vineyards in North East, PA for a tour of the production area and a sampling of a few select wines. Although the Mazza family is of Italian decent and you would expect them to make Italian wine, the region's climate is most suitable for Germanic grape varieties. Making Germanic-style wines carried on for almost four decades, but not forgetting their Italian heritage they have recently introduced their "La Famiglia" brand of wines. Mazza Vineyards offers a wide variety of wines ranging from sweet table wines to dry premiums, fruit wines, and sparkling wines. (Please Note: Passengers must be 21 years of age or older and must be able to present valid state-issued Identification to participate in the tasting or purchase wines.) We will depart Mazza and travel to Arrowhead Wine Cellars also located in North East for a brief tour and tasting of a few select wines. Arrowhead uses the highest quality European, Native and hybrid grapes in addition to fruits, most of which are grown on their 250-acre farm. Interestingly enough, the wineries name was derived from the frequent discovery of arrowheads on many local grape farms. We will return to the hotel for a short time to relax and freshen up before we board the Victorian Princess for a narrated cruise in Presque Isle Bay and a delightful dinner buffet. Enjoy the picturesque scenery as we cruise leisurely along the Bay. At the conclusion of the cruise, we will return to the hotel for the night.

B, D

Breakfast will be included at the hotel before we board the bus and depart for the Tall Ships Festival in Erie. The festival is expected to feature approximately 10 ships in port. A pass will be issued that includes access to deck tours for specific ships. (There will be lines for deck tours with some wait times.) The access pass also includes the Erie Maritime Museum that tells the story of Erie's role in Great Lakes History and the dramatic events of the Battle of Lake Erie. The museum offers historical artifacts, interactive exhibits and dramatic videos that bring the battle to life. (Additional informational about the festival will be available closer to the trip's departure date.) Lunch will be on your own today while at the festival. We will return to the hotel late afternoon. You may wish to remain at the hotel for the evening and have dinner on your own at an area restaurant or those who are at least 21 years of age or older with valid, proper ID can visit Presque Isle Downs & Casino for dinner on your own and time for gaming. The casino offers a wide variety of table games, slots, poker and high limit room. Afterwards, we will return to the hotel for the night.

Once again, breakfast will be included at the hotel before we check out and depart for Jamestown, NY to visit the National Comedy Center, the first state-of-the-art museum dedicated to telling the vital story of comedy in America. More than 50 immersive exhibits take visitors on an interactive journey through comedy history, from vaudeville acts to the latest viral memes. Cutting-edge personalization technology makes the entire experience unique. After creating a humor profile, visitors can explore content tailored to their individual tastes, from broad slapstick to edgy satire. Guests can step into the shoes of comedy pros, trying their hand at cartooning, comedy writing, live stand-up and faux pie fights. Memorabilia on display includes the puffy shirt from Seinfeld, the Coneheads from SNL, Rodney Dangerfield's briefcase and suit, and more. Afterwards, we will have time for lunch on our own in downtown Jamestown followed by our departure for home.
