Join us for a simply faBOOlous tour. Following meal and rest stops en route to New Philadelphia, Ohio we arrive to check in at the Schoenbrunn Inn & Conference Center (330-339-4334) for a three-night stay. The Schoenbrunn Inn amenities include an indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, on-site pub and convenience shop. Guest rooms feature a microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, TV and iron/ironing board. After a brief time to freshen up, we will depart with our tour guide for Historic Zoar Village for an "enlightenting" evening. Our guide will provide us with a narrative about the village that was founded in 1817 by a group of over 200 German Separatists seeking escape from religious persecution from their homeland. Dinner will be included before we embark on our Ghost Walking Tour of the Zoar Village. Enjoy visiting several buildings and learn more about the ghostly happenings from guides who have experienced them first hand as well as stories from the past. (Note: This is a 1-hour Lantern Tour that will cover a two-block area and is not wheelchair accessible. Appropriate clothing is suggested for the weather conditions, as well as comfortable footwear.) A flashlight will be provided for each guest participating in the tour. Following the tour, we will return to the hotel for the night.

Wake up to a breakfast included at our hotel. We will meet our local guide once again today for "spooktacular" fun. We begin with a visit to Warthers Cutlery in Dover, Ohio, a handcrafted American manufacturer of high-quality kitchen knives, knife storage products, cutting boards and more. Warthers is now fourth generation, family owned business that began when Ernest "Mooney" Warther could not find a knife that would hold its edge when carving dense materials such as ebony, ivory and walnut. Afterwards, we will see how these knives produced some of the most unique carvings by Master Carver Earnest Warther. On this guided tour, visitors will see carvings created out of wood, ivory and pearl from entire trains to a hand carved steel mill. Stroll through Mrs. Warther's Swiss Garden and Button House, the original family home and one of the area's finest gift shops. Next, we are off to Famous Endings Museum which features a collection of items from Presidents to celebrities, those from the world of sports and from stage and screen. In 1996, John Herzig's hobby of collecting autographs from famous people suddenly changed to an interest in famous funerals. Today, his collection has over 2,500 artifacts and pieces of memorabilia and is considered the largest known of its kind. Following our visit, we will depart for Hotel Millersburg where we will have lunch included and listen to a guest speaker share unusual and mysterious stories, legends, myths and more. After our luncheon program, we will have free time in historic Millersburg and enjoy some adult Trick or Treating. Our guide will hand out treat bags to collect goodies when visiting the local merchants. Mid-afternoon, we will roll up our sleeves with Lydia Troyer and learn how to make delicious buckeye candy. Don't forget to check out some of the other candy delights handmade by Lydia. Keep those sleeves rolled up, because next we are going to participate in another make and take activity in Holmesville, OH at Light for My Path. Today, we will make a "Muffin Candle" and have the opportunity to shop for some seasonal favorites to take home to fill the air with the fabulous scents of autumn. Our evening will conclude with a visit to the Victorian Mansion in Millersburg. Upon arrival, we will tour the Glass Museum adjacent to the Victorian and learn about the history of the local glass plant, its workers and owner, John Fenton. Witness some of the featured pieces and collections on loan to the museum and find out why these masterpieces remain works of art cherished by collectors worldwide. Dinner this evening will be included, followed by a mini paranormal investigation led by Victorian Mansion expert investigators. The Victorian has had many reported sightings by tourists and professional investigators. An orientation and special equipment will help us with our investigation. We will return back to the Schoenbrunn Inn to turn in for the night.

A delightful hot breakfast will be included at the Inn prior to departing with our local guide for the Ramseyer Farm in Wooster, OH. Enjoy an old-fashioned wagon ride around the farm followed by a scarecrow making team building activity. Teams will work together to construct a scarecrow with a choice of hats, clothes, hand painted faces and straw to stuff to plump it up. All participants will have the chance to become the proud keeper of your group's scarecrow through a raffle drawing. Next, we will have lunch on our own before a broom making demonstration at Walnut Creek Brooms. Learn about the very detailed process of making brooms and the passion behind creating durable high-quality products one at a time. Visitors will go home with their very own whisk broom to commemorate their visit. Our evening concludes with dinner and a show at the Amish Country Theatre in Millersburg. Get into the spirit of Halloween with hauntingly familiar music like "Thriller", "Dancing in the Moon Light", and "Devil Went Down to Georgia", as well as laugh out loud comedy. After the show, we will return to the Schoenbrunn for the night.

Following a hot breakfast once again included at the Inn, we will check out and depart for Walnut Creek Flea Market to browse through an abundance of amazing treasures under one roof. From hand crafted items to gourmet chocolates, baskets for all occasions and leather goods, Walnut Creek has a little something for everyone. Participate in a "Pumpkin Hunt" around the building with a prize for the person who finds the most. Next, we will pack up our purchases and begin our journey back to PA with meal and rest stops en route.
