You will get a "stocking gift" at each stop. . . a great way to enjoy fun in the city. Also included in your morning tour is a visit to Old North Church. Founded in 1722, it is Boston's oldest surviving church building and one of its most visited historical sites. Lunch today is included at Cheers and you will also be able to design and decorate your own Gingerbread House with candy and frosting. The afternoon touring continues with a visit to the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. You will relive the famous night that forever shaped the course of our history! Who knows… you may meet someone famous from the past and perhaps take part in the re-enactment of the destruction of some tea. This evening dinner will be on your own.B, L
Breakfast is included again at the hotel prior to departure. (Please note: Restrooms are very limited on this tour. You will also experience a good bit of walking on brick sidewalks and up steps in the homes). Afterwards, we board the motorcoach and meet our local guide at the gates of the historic Boston Common for a narrated walking tour down the brick sidewalks lined with gas lamps in the upscale Beacon Hill neighborhood that give way to rows of glorious 19th century brick townhouses beautifully decorated inside and out for the holiday season. Take a rare glimpse inside the private residences and learn about the artists, writers, and dignitaries who once lived in the homes, how they have been restored and witness how beautifully decorated they are with the owner's personal touches. Afterwards, lunch time will be in one of Boston's most visited areas - Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. You will have time to purchase lunch on your own and perhaps do some Christmas shopping. This afternoon will likely be the highlight of your trip as you attend a Boston Pops Christmas Concert at Symphony Hall in Boston. One of the most famous symphony orchestra's in the world, it will surely be a delight to hear them perform some of your Christmas favorites. Dinner will be included at one of Boston's fine restaurants. Return to the hotel after a delightful day of history, dining and a live musical performance for a relaxing evening.B, D
Breakfast is included at the hotel prior to saying goodbye to Boston and traveling home. But the fun is not over yet, as a stop will be made for a morning tour of Vaillancourt. Here, you will learn about the history of this folk-art production facility. From its beginnings in 1984 when the idea came to Judi Vaillancourt out of her love for antiques and Christmas, she adopted the Victorian art form of chalk ware by pouring chalk into vintage confectionery molds and applying her fine-art skills into a collected three-dimensional canvas. Following your tour, its back on board the Wolf's motorcoach to continue your journey home to Pennsylvania. You will depart with fond memories, souvenirs of your visit and perhaps a great Christmas gift or two for friends and/or loved ones. Rest and meal stops will be made en route as needed.B
