DAY 1
We will arrive in Annapolis, MD, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Before the cruise, enjoy free time for lunch on your own in downtown Annapolis, where there is a variety of restaurants to choose from as well as a few shops to browse following lunch. At 1 p.m. you will set sail, where you will have the best seat in town to enjoy the Blue Angels Air Show. The very first air show performed was in 1946, making it the second oldest formal flying aerobatic team in the world, after the French; since then, there have been 246 demonstration pilots and 35 flight leaders/commanding officers. The Blue Angels’ six demonstration pilots fly the F/A-18 Hornet in more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each year. The pilots reach a maximum of 700 mph during the show, and the closest distance the jets fly to each other is during the Diamond 360 maneuver, when they fly 18 inches apart. There is no better way to see these elite Navy pilots perform than on the water, so sit back and relax for two hours while you watch the Blue Angels fly. Following the cruise, you will have free time to have dinner before departing at 5:30 p.m.
